Day 1 - What is PSBL?

A road to great Indie Maker

PSBL Framework: Turbocharge Your Indie Development!

I recently read an article by Marc Lou called "How I would learn to code in 2025" and it was mind-blowing.

He said he started seeing massive success after changing his approach to indie development.

Of course, just because I copy him doesn't guarantee me 100% success. But the "process" he describes in the article is exactly the same as what I've seen other Indie Makers follow.

So, I took inspiration from him and came up with the "PSBL Framework." I'm going to use this framework to accelerate my own product development!

What the Heck is the PSBL Framework?

The PSBL Framework is a framework for indie development with 4 steps: Problem, Solution, Build, Launch.

1. Problem

First, find a problem to solve. It's even better if it's your own problem. The problem can be as small as you like!

Even with problems that seem already solved, if you look closely, you might find aspects that haven't been addressed yet.

2. Solution

Next, think about how to solve the problem. This solution becomes your product.

3. Build

Build the product to bring your solution to life.

Choose a tech stack that you're already familiar with. It's cool to try new technologies, but you don't need to master them. Just look things up as you need them.

4. Launch

Launch your product!

Try launching on various platforms.

Summary

The PSBL Framework summarizes the basic flow of indie development: "Define the problem, think of a solution, build the product, and launch it."

Using this framework should help you develop your indie projects more smoothly!

Future Outlook

The PSBL Framework is still a work in progress. I want to keep refining it and make it a framework that's useful for many indie developers.
